"The freelance writer is a man who is paid per piece or per word or perhaps." ~ Robert Benchley
I launched my writing career in Mrs. DeLuca's 5th-grade class when I won first place in a writing contest. I wrote a gripping yet heartwarming tale about a young boy and his pet badger. My drawings that accompanied the story were alarmingly life-like.
The prize was a shiny, new silver dollar. While many businesses wastefully frame their first dollar earned, mine went to purchase jawbreakers, tootsie rolls and a pack of bubblegum cigarettes that sent out a tiny puff of sugar when you blew on their "filters." Although the cigarettes weren't addictive, writing was. I was hooked.
For the past 30 years, I've been helping businesses tell their stories, sell their services and communicate with their clients. I've worked with nonprofit organizations, sports groups, health care companies, real estate firms and media publications. I've written articles, websites, brochures, advertisements, wedding vows (really!) and sales presentations.
So what's your story? Let me help tell it.
